My mom's twin sister Cheryl and her husband Thom were blessed with a son with Down's syndrome in 1986. Darren is the sweetest little boy ever. Since I was about 12 I've thought that I should be a special ed teacher. I still feel that way, but it's a slow process. BUT since that blessed most amazing child my aunt has started fostering and has adopted one, Samantha, and is the process of adopting Mia & Emma and will bring Christian home from the hospital on Monday. She's super amazing!
Christian, born November 2nd, 2007 and is now 5 lbs 11 ozs. He was born at 2lbs 3 ozs, 12 1/2 inches. He will come home on oxygen, but unlike the other two young ones doesn't have a "g" tube to eat from. He can already suck and eat from a bottle.
