Finally....

The wait is almost over. But that just means that more people had opportunity to place offers. We stepped up our game this morning and we're waiting to hear. It SUPPOSED to go to auction Wednesday (tomorrow), but the bank says they're not going to hold it so we'll see. We hoping and praying, but if it doesn't work out there is something else out there!

We saw Jalenne!

I don't know if all of you know the story of sweet Jalenne, but my parents had a failed adoption and a few weeks after the failed adoption they place Jalenne with us. She was 21 months and just the sweetest little girl. We used to watch Cinderellly every night and she usually fell asleep in my room, which was great therapy for me (and FREE). Her grandparents were the ones who dropped her off at child haven and we were told that if she went back to the family it would be only if her mom made it through drug rehab and all the steps to get her back. Well, she got a new social worker and two months later she was back with her grandparents. The last weekend we had her was Easter 2006. We were allowed to see her and we used to take her and her older sister to the movies, or the lake or just to our house for parties or to play. Until one night, she had several really bad bruises on the bottom of her little bottom (mind you she was still in diapers)and she told us her grandpa had hit her. Well, since we had the twins at this time, my parents were legally obligated to turn them in. Which resulted in us not being able to see the girls for about 9 months. We continued to drop of gifts for holidays and everything, but until we got a sweet note from Aryana (her older sister) we didn't actually stay to watch them get them. We miss her, but she seems to be happy and doing better. She used to cry for my mom and used to be really bad for her grandparents so they really struggled with that. Now that she's used to being there things are better. We love her and pray for her everyday. Jalenne with her Easter basket.

WOW!

That's my favorite word if you hadn't noticed. One of my dear friends is having her 100th blog post today and I said to her that I wasn't even close. Well, that wasn't entirely true because this is post 79. Yikes, I think I'm a little obsessed, but seriously I think I enjoy reading all my friends blogs more than I like posting. Sometimes forget that I can't just read everyone's blogs. My new favorite thing, thanks to the 100th blog post friend is google reader. You add all your friend's blogs to it and than it lets you know when there is a new post. Than you don't have to spend hours looking at the same post all the time! :)

We're going to Vegas for Easter. My little brother took his girlfriend home (for the 1st time--we've met her but not the extended family) and so we're going to see the babies. I'll make sure to take pictures so that everyone can see. We're going to take family pictures since everyone will be home!!

So AMAZING!

Not a whole lot has gone on lately. We're still waiting to hear on the house. I am getting more and more anxious each day. We finally had our meeting with the company who is buying our firm on Monday. You know that you pray and pray about something and you have no idea why something happened this way. When I was looking and interviewing for jobs, I ended up with 3 job offers in one day. Two of them being really good opportunities. After taking this one, I still wasn't sure why I was supposed to take it. The other one had health insurance and tons of holidays off, a 401K, etc and this one was just a job. Well, not only have a learned sooooooo much that will help us when Bryce starts his business, but I am now going to be working in the accounting department and handling all our current clients payrolls (which I already do), but I'll be learning to prepare payroll reports and I'll continue to do data entry. I also will be taking on some of their payrolls. The best part of all of this is they haven't even really seen what I can do, they have only heard from my current boss and they're starting me at $1.50 MORE an hour, the employee's health insurance is paid for and they offer a 401K and instead of matching they just put money into it each year. Plus I can ride trax to save gas and they'll pay for the trax pass. The Lord blesses us in so many ways and 6 months ago I thought I was doing something crazy, but I know now that it was the right thing. I've also applied to the LDS Business College which is the builidng next to ours and I'm going to get my associates in Business and than hopefully go to the U and get my bachelors. So excited. We are truely blessed.

After seeing this picture, I told my mom that she needs a little sister. My parents have this baby (she's just a week old about) just for the weekend and Jazzy thinks she's mommy!

Humility

I think I've forgotten what this is all about. I really shouldn't be frustrated or unhappy that things are taking a long time. I really should be grateful that I have the opportunity and chance to purchase a home right now. I should be grateful for all that the Lord has provided me with to make this possible. Thank you Grandma, without you this would not be possible at all. Thank you for tax refunds so we can add to our down payment...well, really so we can get appliances when we move. Thanks for cool apartment Leasing company that the drop our move out fees. Thank you for my amazing job and the fabulous opportunity that this new company is going to be. Thank you to Bryce's mom and dad and all their help with Bryce's school and especially mom's willingness to train him so that we can provide for our future. Thank you for the gospel and the opportunity we have to serve others and opportunity to pay tithing and fast offerings and whatever else our hearts desire to contribute to. Thank you for my parents and the support they are to us and especially for their help over the last few years and not just monitary but emotionally and spiritually. Thank you for fabulous siblings and all the support and love that they share with us. I'm also grateful for my extended family, my fabulous friends and my extended blogging friends that help uplift and inspire me. My new goal is to be more positive. I've come a long way this past year but I have a long way to go and being Positive and having a better attitude is my new goal! I love you all!

House update

Well, the good news is they haven't given it to someone else and only ours and the other 2 offers are there. The bad news is the bank just barely assigned a negotiator yesterday and the ordered an apprasial which could take up to a week and when that's done they will make offers. Somehow they got approval to delay the foreclosure which was supposed to be the 14th. We'll see. We're really frustrated but there is not a whole lot we can do but wait.

OUCH!

Well, today was an adventure. We woke up to Bryce's boss call saying that one of his movers was being a pain and that he need to go to the site of the move. So we got up in a hurry and went down there. We than went to Best Buy to find a computer since we're both taking online classes and neither of our computers really work that well and neither of our's will be able to handle the appraisal program. Well, we couldn't decide so we headed home. Since we didn't get to eat before we ran out the door I decided that i would try this recipe I found for Chicken Chili. I hadn't thawed the chicken so I boiled it to partially cook it. Than I started cubing the chicken well, i knocked the cutting board and the really sharp butcher knife that I was using fell to the ground, well my leg got in the way before it hit the ground. My husband almost passed out but safely got me to the ER and 7 stitches later I'm home and feeling ok. The worst part of the whole thing was the tetnis shot cuz my arm is throbbing, but it will be worth it. For those of you who can handle it, this is what it looks like now. I'll save you from the before picture. BE CAREFUL WITH KNIVES!!!
