30 Day Challenge

It's no surprise that I've been thru quite a bit in my short life. Mostly because I made so choices that led to some rough years and more difficult choices but I've been blessed with some amazing people in my life. Yesterday marked 4 years since Bryce asked me to marry him. There was never really any doubt after our first date that I was going to marry Bryce. Funny how that works out. When you spend every possible moment with each other for 4 straight weeks it makes it pretty easy to know where or not you love someone. Yes, he proposed after 4 weeks. He left the following day to visit his brother and sister (in law) in Georgia. They found out when he landed that Bryce had proposed :)

Bryce and I have made a lot of BIG decisions in the 3 1/2 years we've been married or the 4 years we've been together. We've bought 2 trucks. Sold two (well, really Shelley sold one and we sold one). Sold the Jetta (miss that car), bought the 4-runner, bought our beater honda, sold both of those and bought the magnum. Rented a apartment, lost my job, got a new job, bryce got layed off and got a new job, I just barely gave my two weeks notice and am moving to a new company. Bought and pretty much flipped out house. Got 2 dogs--found two dogs a new home...wait I guess we've had 3 dogs just one only lasted 3 days :) Had a child---pretty sure we'll keep him forever :) Maybe when he's a teenager we'll send him to live with my mom...ok, J/K. Right now we're working on sprinklers and sod for our backyard and our first garden!! Can I tell you how excited I am for my garden?!?!

Bryce and I both struggle with some sort of "mental illness". That sounds way worse than it is. But that has probably been our biggest struggle. But thru it all our love has grown deeper. We both know we're in it for the long run. I love that man more than life itself. He is my rock and I'm dedicating the next month to him. I've decided (without him knowing) to take part in a 30 Day Challenge. I'm excited to see how much our love grows and how much we can grow together this next month. It will be a good month :)

Today is Day 1

Day One:
"The heart of her husband safely trusts her; so he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life." Prov. 31:11-12

* You can't say anything negative about your husband ...to your husband...or to anyone else, about your husband.
* Say something that you admire or appreciate about your husband...to your husband...and to someone else, about your husband!

To help you get started, have you ever thanked your husband for "choosing you" above all other women? He found you attractive as a person, and appreciated you. Though many circumstances in your marriage may have changed, let your husband know that you are glad God led you together, and that you want to be a blessing to him for the rest of your marriage. Let him know that he can trust you to be in his corner.

One of the best opportunities to express your gratitude is first thing in the morning. How do you greet your husband each morning? Is he confident in your love? Give him a "wake up call" that he'll never forget-a big "I love you" and an "I'm so glad I'm your wife!"

Bryce Update

Sorry, I've been TERRIBLE at updating. I have a bunch of things that I want to post. A few I'll post soon and a few I have to wait for a little bit longer (NO I AM NOT PREGO).

BUT The last post I did was about a job for Bryce. Because Advanced MD was bought out by ADP right around the time the job was supposed to post, it got delayed and delayed and delayed. Well, it finally posted last week and Bryce applied and had several interviews and found out Monday that he GOT THE JOB!

I'm so proud of him. He's worked so hard for this and REALLY deserved it. He still hasn't gotten the written offer so it will be a few days until he gets to start and he'll have to work BOTH jobs for about 5 weeks. Not 16 hour days but 12-14 hour days. His manager now is NOT wanting to let him go so he's going to accommodate both because he really wanted the new job!

I will post pictures of Easter and everything else that has been happening soon. Until then, I'll leave you with this picture.

Some of Robert's last days with Aunt Brionne as his babysitter. PS He's doing soooooooooo well in Daycare!!!

Bryce

Some have inquired about Bryce's work.

Bryce works for a company called Advanced MD (well technically ADP Advanced MD since ADP purchased their company last week). He's a support tech. He's AMAZING at his job. I'm not just saying that because I'm his wife. He has learned their software (medical billings and records storage) in and out. He was able to make senior tech after 7 months of employment and it takes 6 months to achieve senior tech. They now have a different name for the position. He was put on a special project in about September or October. He's been working CRAZY overtime!! One paycheck he had 48 hours of overtime. Besides the Team Leader/Manager (who went on business trip) he worked WAY more hours than anyone else.

He did great and the Team Leader really wants him to move to their department. Well, it's in the Engineering Department. So they prefer they have a degree BUT there is a level 1 position that doesn't require the degree. The CTO of the company, the engineering director and the product release manager all want him there BUT the Software Testing Manager (the one he'd be under) replied "Yes we have the option of level 1 but I've never hired for it and I don't plan on it."

That was Friday. Monday morning (because he was supposed to give his boss and answer where or not he'd take a different position in support) he was supposed to meet with the CTO and go over how there is errors in their system. If so many people want him, they why can't he be there. Well, The Software Testing Manager called and said that they were opening a level 1 position under the TEAM LEADER/MANAGER (of the project he just gone done with). If Tiffany has any say, the position will be his. BUT they have to open it up to ALL the employees there so it's not a guarantee. This is what we have been praying for. This is the department he wants to be in. He can go back to school and he can make a career out of it and he LOVES it. We're hoping for a miracle and that he gets the position. I will let you all know!

Regardless, I am so so proud of Bryce and all the hard work he's done the last 6 months!!!

EMT Basic

Bryce started his EMT class last night! He had tons of fun and is super excited for this new course of life. Bryce wants to be a fireman when he grows up. We know it might take awhile but we're hoping in the next 5-7 years he can find a job (if not sooner!) We'll see. He hopes to do EMT stuff until then. We're so proud of Bryce and all he does for our family and so excited what this will do for our family! We're sad that he's going to miss a lot the next couple months but know it's a small sacrifice for the blessings that will come later in life!! We love you Brycee!

Bryce's New Job!

Bryce started his new job on Monday. Can I tell you how much of a relief that is? Nothing is worse then losing your job with a mortgage and a baby on the way. I am so proud of him and all he did to search and find a job that would work! I've had a few people ask how his first day/week went, so I asked him and this is what he said "Very challenging to learn the program. It is like cramming a hard college course that would normally spread across a semester into a week." He's going to be doing tech support for the company which is a medical software company. It's a lot of stuff to remember. He has another week of more hands on training and then he starts actually working! He'll do great! Very excited to have the 2nd income back. Sad that we lost our AMAZING health insurance and had to choose between two not so great plans (his and mine). They're just the new High Deductible plans were you pay your deductible first. There aren't any copays, not even for prescriptions---my asthma meds are pricey. We decided on Bryce's but I have to switch doctors now :(. We're going to an IHC plan and I was going to the Woman's Clinic at St. Marks Hospital which isn't an IHC hospital! I'm hoping to get into my mom's cousin!!! Let's hope!!! Lots of fun! VERY VERY Grateful to at least have some sort of insurance and for Bryce to have a job! Love you Boo! I'm proud of you!

Bryce's Dunes Trip 10-25-08

My hubby got to enjoy one of his favorite things this weekend. He went to the dunes with Tyler and Tim and his dad and then Tyler's brother and brother's friend. They went Saturday EARLY...that's pretty much the only this that Bryce wakes up happy for early in the morning! He had a blast. Besides a few minor bumps and bruises (Bryce!!!) they all came home safe and sound. Here are my favorite pictures that Ross took of the boys!! Well, they're mainly Bryce :)Bryce
